The PUKAR Project is a flagship emergency response initiative of Nari Pragati Social Foundation (NPSF), dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities during crises, natural calamities, urgent humanitarian situations, and through community awareness programs.
Key Initiatives under PUKAR
I. Covid-19 Prerna Abhiyan
- Organized vaccination camps in affected communities.
- Distributed dry ration kits to families in need.
- Launched a home-based tiffin service for patients and the elderly during lockdowns.

II. Mission Pratibhag – Community Awareness Program
In collaboration with Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissionerate under Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh, and with support from DCP Women Safety Ms. Preety Yadav.

III. Pad for Purpose (Menstrual Hygiene Awareness & Reusable Pad Distribution)
Many women and girls still use unsafe cloth due to financial issues.
The session was guided by gynecologists Dr. Vinita Sharma and Dr. Snigdha from SWASTHIKA Clinic, who educated participants on safe menstrual practices and proper care of reusable pads.
To address this, Nari Pragati Social Foundation, with support from the State Bank of India, launched “Pad for Purpose” — a campaign to distribute reusable sanitary napkins and promote menstrual hygiene.

IV. Community Awareness Programs (Posco, Legal rights, Helpline numbers & Social Media)
Under the leadership of Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh Ma'am and the supervision of DCP Women Safety Preeti Yadav Ma'am, ACP-3 Noida Twinkle Jain Ma'am has launched a new awareness initiative under Mission Shakti.
In collaboration with Nari Pragati Social Foundation, a series of special sessions are being conducted across schools, colleges, RWAs, and rural areas to empower girls and young women.
The program focuses on:
- POCSO Act awareness
- Safe and responsible use of social media
- Legal rights and protection mechanisms
- Importance of higher education
- Helpline services and safety resources
Through expert-led discussions, case studies, open conversations, and interactive Q&A sessions, participants gain practical life skills, confidence, and psychological strength to face real-world challenges.
This initiative reflects the Commissionerate’s commitment to creating a safer, stronger, and more informed environment for every girl.
